Looking for a good way to stay in touch with the
people who visit your blog or website? I
you may want to consider sending out an ezine, or electronic
newsletters. This is a great way to share good content, introduce your
infoproducts or services and promote other people's products.
A word of warning though, preparing a weekly ezine can really sap your time, deadlines need to be met. If you run your online business alone then be mindful of how much time you can actually allocate to preparing a weekly newsletter.
If you already have lots of content that's a great,
but if you're still struggling to find good quality information for your target
market then perhaps you need to ask yourself if you will be able to maintain a
blog or website with so little content? Perhaps you need to re-think your niche
market.
You may want to consider a fortnightly, or bi-weekly ezine instead until you build up enough interesting information or your own infoproducts.
Here are 7 tips to help you find content for your weekly ezine:
1. Every time you come across an interesting article, blog post or snippet of information in your sector record it in a notepad kept near your computer.
2. Send out a survey asking your readers their main areas of concern. Bring together all the different sections and use this information as a basis for one section of your ezine until you have exhausted the list. Use the free Survey Monkey service to do this.
3. Add an 'Ask (your name)' section to your blog or website and encourage your clients to send you their questions. Use this information to form the basis of a 'Q & A' section in your ezine.
4. If you're sharing personal news and information about yourself in your ezine, a word of caution, do not disclose information that could breach your personal security, such as your address, date of birth, etc.
5. Consider adding a 'Recommended by (your name)' section and use this to promote products or services you find are good value for money.
6. If you've purchased services or products from other internet marketers and feel they offer good value for money, become their affiliate and promote their products or services if they are complementary to your own.
7. Include a 'Coming events' section and inform your readers of your up and coming events and new products launches.
